These are not the fundamentals you are looking for.
Due to some things going on atm I have come to the realization that I need to be prepared in case something were to happen. Purposely being vague. I’m getting my ducks in a row and plan to have new comics up soon. I just need a couple weeks to get everything to where I think it needs to be in other areas. Still vague.
Cheers to all and goodnight.
If you count all the comics in the origins and all the comics in the archive then today’s comic marks the 101st shortminds comic. But, if you just count the comics since I reformatted, then its just the 36th comic and there is really nothing to see here.
Why celebrate 101? Well, because I forgot Monday was the 100th comic and 101 is a palindrome and palindromes are always worth celebrating.
On a side note. A while back I said I would post some numbers on the reddit/stumble/digg affects and I think that the numbers have finally quieted down enough to be able to make some educated guesses at retention rates. I haven’t gone over all the numbers yet so expect those results in the near future. I haven’t done a “Starting A Webcomic” post in a while so maybe I will just roll those numbers into that post.
Lastly I have decided that my art work needs some more work once again and this time I’m going to share with the readers as I go about trying to draw more better. Probably going to be something along the lines of a case by case study. Such as drawing proper proportions, drawing better hands, inking with more detail, etc. So maybe something to look forward to, if you are into that sort of thing. And maybe, just maybe my comics will look a lot better when I’m done.
Cheers!
Did you see the exclusive trailer for The Day The Earth Stood Still last night during The Fringe? Yeah, me neither, go Cowboys, but you can watch it in its seven minutes of glory here.
I must say, even with Mr. Kung Fu, it looks pretty good. I never saw the original or read the book that I’m sure this stems from, but the ending had better not suck like The War Of The Worlds.
That’s right. The Large Hadron Collider gets flipped on tomorrow. Incase you don’t know, the LHC will create subatomic black holes that will last a tiny fraction of a second before collapsing. Thus helping scientists understand how the universe began and what it is made up of. Just click the link and watch the video of a Ted talk at the top.
Some folks think that this machine has the potential to create a black hole that doesn’t collapse, but may persist and destroy the world. It has been shown to be all but impossible. This is just the initial firing up of this colossal machine, they are not scheduled to start smashing protons until October or November. All I’m saying is they better not ruin Christmas, I will be pissed!
You know how yesterday I said that the new Google Chrome browser had blown away all other browsers in JavaScript benchmakrk tests? Well, Firefox has announced that their new TraceMonket JavaScript engine has outperformed Chrome. Something to look forward to in Firefox 3.1
